On Tuesday, January 22, our MHAC team conducted a workshop at Agidingbi Junior Grammar School, focusing on equipping teachers with the knowledge to identify behavioural changes in their students. During the one-hour session, we emphasized the importance of creating a supportive environment and fostering collaboration with school counsellors to provide the best assistance to students.
In attendance were the Vice Principal, the two school counsellors, and classroom teachers, all actively engaged in the insightful workshop. We are grateful for their commitment to promoting mental health awareness within their school community.
Our next step with Agidingbi Junior Grammar School involves returning to engage directly with the students.
The MHAC goal is to promote positive mental health and mitigate the impact of mental illnesses, self-harm, and other health risk behaviours among teenagers in Lagos State.
