On Wednesday, January 24, our team visited Ojodu Junior Grammar School for a comprehensive mental health education session with the students. We aimed to create mental health awareness and empower them with the skills to recognize when they might need support and how to be there for their peers.
During the session, we addressed common myths surrounding mental health, aiming to dispel any misconceptions and foster a more informed and supportive environment. As part of the experience, the students actively participated in box breathing exercises, a technique known to reduce stress and promote overall mental well-being.
The engagement at Ojodu Junior Grammar School was not just about education; it was about providing practical tools for the students to navigate their mental health and support each other.
The MHAC activities contribute to creating a culture of understanding and empathy within the school communities.
To widen our impact, we are seeking your support. We need donations for mental health resources that will aid in our ongoing workshops and initiatives within schools. Your support can make a significant difference in nurturing the well-being of young minds.
Every contribution you make plays an important role in fostering a mentally healthy environment for students, ultimately shaping a brighter future.
