PROJECT "HOME”
Project "HOME" is a counselling project implemented over an 8-month period in a secondary school, aiming to empower students to seek help and support when needed. The project focused on providing counselling services to teenagers who were afraid to open up about their challenges in life, including victims of abuse. Additionally, it aimed to coach students to avoid a life of crime, foster positive attitudes and values, help identify and modify maladaptive behaviours, and assist students in smoothly transitioning between educational levels.
To evaluate the impact of Project "HOME," a comprehensive assessment was conducted, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative measures. Data was collected through surveys, interviews, and direct observations of the participating students. The evaluation covered a diverse group of students who were the recipients of the project's services over the 8-month period.
The results of the impact assessment demonstrate that the Project "HOME" had a transformative impact on the students who were previously afraid to open up about their challenges in life. Many students have gained the courage to seek help, leading to improved emotional well-being, better coping mechanisms, and increased resilience in the face of adversity. The project has created a safe and supportive environment for these students, enabling them to address their concerns effectively.
